After the Rain

Challenged to create a painting for a show themed around spring, I wanted to consider what I love about the season: nature shows us so many colors and textures in the new growth and flowers, and there’s so much movement in the breeze and as the plants respond to the drops of rain. That first detail below is one of my favorites.
This painting won the award for Best Representation of the Colors of Spring in the Artists in Action Spring 2025 show.
