Buddy and Bob on Vacation at the Lake

This painting is a reworking of the same image which I painted long ago, with a sort of “faded photograph” feel. But it needed vibrant colors to celebrate the great moment of these two veterans and long-time friends, as they vacationed with their families at the lake.
My dad and his friend probably never imagined they would have this kind of vacation back when they were boys in the Great Depression or young men fighting in World War 2.
