Hallelujah!
30x24 inches . . . . . acrylic on canvas, 2025
My father-in-law loved fishing the Umpqua River back in the 1960s when he was a preacher in Roseburg, Oregon. The photo I used for reference couldn’t contain his joy in the moment, and I knew I wanted to paint the image. His expression didn’t depend on what fish he took home from the day: it was just being on the river.
